The case is connected to House of Little Bunny Philippines Inc. (HOLB), the fashion business established by the sisters. Kim previously filed a qualified theft complaint against Lakam over alleged financial discrepancies involving their business. Manila Bulletin reported that Kim pursued the case after information that came to light in 2025, with her management team saying she intended to allow the legal process to establish the truth and accountability.
The latest development reportedly comes from a Sept. 1, 2026 resolution issued by the Quezon City Office of the City Prosecutor. The resolution identified 124 separate transactions involving withdrawals and online transfers from the company’s bank accounts.
Prosecutors reportedly found sufficient basis to move forward with the qualified theft complaint filed by Kim, bringing the long-running dispute between the sisters into a more serious legal phase.
