According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Esnyr shared during the Star Magic Spotlight press conference that there was a point when he felt he had lost himself while working on the project. He admitted that the heartbreak affected his passion and direction in life.

“I don't wanna lose my heart kasi I lost it. Parang may time na nawalan ako ng puso sa mga bagay. At ewan ko, parang nawala ako sa right path ng life ko,” the content creator-turned-actor and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate said.

Despite the pain, Esnyr chose to continue production after considering the months of preparation, expenses, and effort his team had already invested.

“Parang sabi ko, 'Sasayangin ko ba lahat ng pre-prod namin, lahat ng ginastos ko, lahat ng effort, lahat ng passionate fire sa project na 'to just because of the temporary [moment] na nangyari sa buhay ko?'”

Looking back, Esnyr said he was proud that he continued showing up for work despite what he was going through.

“I'm proud of myself for showing up every day.”

He also admitted that “First Day High” was not his best work, but he was grateful that they were able to finish the project despite the difficult circumstances.

“Actually, hindi pa 'yun ang pinaka-best ko talaga. Pero sobrang na-happy po ako na naitawid namin siya. Kasi niloko ka, maitatawid mo ba?”

The experience also taught Esnyr to value the love he gives to others. He said he realized that being genuine and loving wholeheartedly means he did not truly lose anything.

“Tsaka it's a reminder din for me kasi na-realize ko ngayon na I am the love that I give. So parang hindi ko siya kawalan. Kasi at the end of the day, I'm genuine sa what I give sa mga tao and hindi ka talo 'pag nagmamahal ka.”

Now, Esnyr said he is focused on rebuilding himself and putting more energy into his craft rather than into a relationship that was not meant for him.

“And now, I think this is the season of my life to rebuild myself, to pour the love sa craft ko more than ibuhos ko siya sa pagmamahal sa maling tao.”

He added that he is spending more time with friends and appreciating the support he receives from Star Magic, while also exploring new activities such as running and sports.

Esnyr ended by sharing advice from Vice Ganda: “Sabi nga ni Meme Vice, 'Maraming tao ang uubos sa'yo. 'Wag ka lang magpaubos.' Kaya 'yun 'yung pinakahugot ko.”
