He recalled that even when he was still doing relatively well, he had already struggled to walk long distances while working on tapings for “Goin’ Bulilit.” His knee problems eventually became more severe, making it difficult for him to walk at all.

Dagul also revealed that he had been going back and forth to the hospital last year because of pneumonia and sleep apnea. His kidney was also being monitored as part of his medical care.

At one point, doctors reportedly found fluid in his lungs. Dagul said the condition was monitored during his hospitalization and eventually disappeared.

“So sa ngayon, mino-monitor.

Aside from his previous respiratory problems, Dagul is also dealing with a cataract in his left eye. He said he had already consulted a doctor about the condition but could not immediately proceed with surgery because his heart still needed to undergo further evaluation.

So hindi ako makapa-opera. At saka, at the same time, financial.”

Dagul also discussed another concern surrounding the possible cataract surgery. He said the doctors were considering whether he would be able to tolerate anesthesia, particularly if the procedure were to take a long time.

“At saka 'yung [kinokonsidera] pa, ma'am Susan, kasi baka ‘pag na-anesthesia daw ako, baka hindi makayanan na mahaba ang operasyon. Baka hindi ako makagising.”

For now, Dagul is focused on recuperating at home while managing the health conditions that continue to affect his daily life.

Dagul’s condition has since improved, and he is currently recovering at home while continuing to monitor his health.
