His comment quickly drew attention, prompting Boy Abunda to ask whether he had personally proven that belief.

“The katanungan, napatunayan mo na ba?”

Ruru responded with complete honesty.

“I'm gonna be honest, Tito Boy, at ikaw naman 'yan, tayo-tayo lang naman ang nandito, yeah, napatunayan [na].”

The actor then revealed that he committed the mistake when he was only 20 years old. While he acknowledged his age at the time, he emphasized that being young was never an excuse for cheating.

Instead of shifting the blame, Ruru expressed deep gratitude to longtime girlfriend Bianca Umali for giving him another chance despite what happened.

He recalled that they broke up for eight months before eventually reconciling, describing that painful chapter as a blessing in disguise because it made him realize Bianca's true value in his life.

“Nag-break kami ng eight months, but now, eight years na po kami.

Although he believes in second chances, Ruru was equally firm that cheating is ultimately a decision made by the individual.

Looking back, the actor said Bianca's unconditional love remains one of the greatest blessings in his life. He shared that her forgiveness constantly reminds him of what he stands to lose and serves as his motivation to remain faithful.

Ruru's candid confession has since fueled discussions online, with many weighing in on whether people who commit infidelity can truly change through accountability, forgiveness, and personal growth.
