Ruru Madrid shared how he sensed sister Rere’s pregnancy before she even showed him the result, saying he received an unexpected “sign” from the sky while on his way home from work.

During his interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, August 4, Ruru shared that he initially became worried when he thought about what Rere might tell him. His first concern was that something could have gone wrong in her relationship with basketball player Kai Sotto.
“Galing akong trabaho, madaling araw. Sabi ko, 'Anong sasabihin niya (Rere)?' Nung una pa inisip ko sabi ko, 'Teka, baka binubugbog 'to ni Kai... Or baka niloko, sinaktan.'”
However, Ruru said his worries soon shifted while he was driving home. He recalled looking at the moon during the trip and feeling that it was somehow trying to communicate something to him.

“Pero true story Tito Boy, habang nasa biyahe ako, nagmamaneho ako, tinignan ko 'yung buwan. Ta's parang 'yung buwan, para bang may may pinapahiwatig siya sa akin na something. And then from there, naramdaman ko na buntis si Rere.”
Ruru said the feeling became even more striking when he arrived home and Rere showed him the pregnancy test result. By that point, he felt that the news confirmed what he had already sensed during his drive.
“So nung dumating ako sa bahay, dumating si Rere doon, biglang pinakita na sa akin ni Rere 'yung resulta na buntis siya. Alam ko na.”
Rather than making Rere feel worried about his reaction, Ruru said he immediately reassured his sister that she had nothing to hide from him. He emphasized that he was happy for her and would continue to support her no matter what.
“Tapos sinabi ko sa kapatid ko na, 'Alam mo wala ka naman dapat ikatakot or wala ka dapat ilihim sa akin kasi sobrang masaya ako para sa'yo at susuportahan kita sa kahit na anong bagay.'”

He explained the meaning behind his playful social media caption, saying it referred to his pregnant sister Rere Madrid as “buntis,” brother-in-law Kai Sotto as “bayaw,” and Bianca as “batas.” Ruru added that Bianca already knew she was the “batas” of his life even before he shared the post.
