When host Boy Abunda asked how difficult the experience had been, Jelai described the long period of uncertainty that tested both her patience and emotional strength. She explained that aside from the lengthy wait, the financial burden made the process even more challenging.

"Napakahirap, Tito Boy. Kasi una sa lahat, hindi ko po sure kung maga-grant eh, 'yung annulment. Napakahirap po sa pag-aantay mo, s'yempre po 'yung gastos, tapos darating na 'yung time na, manghihina ka na, 'Hindi na yata 'to mangyayari, di na yata maga-grant 'to.'"

Jelai's statement highlighted how the uncertainty surrounding the outcome became one of the hardest aspects of the process. She shared that there were moments when she nearly lost hope, believing that the annulment might never be granted.

Boy then asked how long the entire process took. In response, Jelai revealed that the annulment stretched over several years, explaining that a change in where the case was being handled helped shorten the timeline.

"All in all po, pag pinagsama-sama is 5 years po pero 'yung 3 years po dun inilipat ko sa ibang lugar, sa probinsya, kaya naging 3 years na lang. Pero 'yung 2 years po, dito sa Q.C. parang nasayang s'ya."

According to Jelai, the entire process lasted about five years. She explained that after transferring the case to another location in the province, the proceedings moved more quickly, although she felt that the two years spent processing the case in Quezon City had gone to waste.

The conversation also touched on the financial cost of securing an annulment. Asked by Boy to estimate how much she had spent throughout the legal proceedings, Jelai admitted that she could no longer remember the exact amount but said the expenses had reached more than a million pesos.

"Tito Boy, hindi ko na maalala kung magkano, siguro lagpas... may milyon din po."

Reacting to her revelation, Boy pointed out that the experience was not only emotionally draining but also financially overwhelming. "Hindi lang mahirap sa emosyon, mahirap din sa bulsa," he remarked.

Jelai's candid account shed light on the lengthy legal process and significant expenses involved in obtaining an annulment, while also reflecting on the emotional uncertainty she endured throughout the years before finally reaching its conclusion.
