Inah de Belen revealed that it was her mother, actress Janice de Belen, who suggested that she and her longtime boyfriend, Jake Vargas, start living together five years ago.

The revelation came during Inah and Jake's guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Friday, July 17, where the couple spoke about their relationship and the decision to share a home.

During the interview, host Boy Abunda asked Inah why they decided to live together after being in a relationship.

Boy asked, "You've lived together for five years now, bakit kayo nagdesisyon na maglive-in?"

Inah explained that the idea did not originally come from them but from her mother following a difficult period in her life. She shared that she was rarely at home during that time and was almost always with Jake.

She replied, "Something happened kasi five years ago. I think my mom was the one who suggested, 'Bakit hindi na lang kayo mag-live in?' Kasi home anymore. Halos every day, every week, during that time also, I was always not at siya (Jake) na 'yung kasama ko."

The conversation then shifted to Jake, with Boy asking how he reacted upon learning about Janice's suggestion.

Boy asked, "Ano'ng reaksyon mo noong nalaman mo?"

Jake admitted that he was surprised by the proposal.

He answered, "Nagulat din ako, Tito Boy."

Boy followed up by asking if he became nervous about the idea of living together. The TV host inquired, "Kinabahan ka?"

Jake acknowledged that he did feel anxious because he understood that living together was a major step in their relationship. Despite his concerns, he said their love for each other gave him confidence that they could make it work.

The actor said, "Medyo. Kasi magli-live-in na kami, iba kasing usapan 'yon. Ang daming tanong, kaya ba namin? Siguro iniisip ko na lang, love naman namin ang isa't isa, siguro makakaya naman namin."

The interview offered viewers a glimpse into the couple's journey together and how Janice's advice became an important turning point in their relationship, eventually leading them to build a life together over the past five years.
