Inah de Belen opened up about why she used to be afraid of marriage, revealing that witnessing the separation of her parents, Janice de Belen and John Estrada, shaped the way she viewed love while growing up.

During her guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Friday, July 17, alongside her longtime boyfriend Jake Vargas, Inah candidly discussed her past fears about marriage in a conversation with host Boy Abunda.

Boy asked, "Kanina, you started to talk about not believing in marriage because of what happened to your parents... Talagang ayaw mo dahil ayaw mong matulad sa mom and dad?"

Inah admitted that fear played a significant role in how she viewed relationships while growing up. She explained that coming from a broken family made her more guarded when it came to love and the possibility of marriage.

She responded, "I think there was just this fear na, 'What if this happens to me?' Kasi when you come from a [broken family,] the tendency is, as you grow up, you feel more jaded about love."

Boy then asked what eventually changed her perspective and led her to become open to the idea of getting married.

He continued, "So paano nagbago 'yung attitude na 'yon, na ngayon, gusto ko nang magpakasal?"

Inah shared that her outlook gradually shifted after her sister, Moira, got engaged. She said that being closely involved in her sister's wedding preparations, along with attending several weddings this year, made her reflect on marriage in a different light.

She said, "I think it started when my sister, si Moira, got engaged. Kasi syempre, kami 'yung mga maids of honor, kaming dalawa ni Kaila. So we're always the first ones to hear about her plans. And actually, Tito Boy, 2026 is the only year na sunod-sunod ang mga kasal na pínupuntahan ko. So, sabi ko, something is happening there."

The interview offered a glimpse into Inah's personal journey from being hesitant about marriage to becoming more open to the possibility, influenced by family milestones and the experiences of those around her.

Inah and Jake have been together for several years and have often shared glimpses of their relationship in public. Their appearance on the program also gave viewers an opportunity to hear more about their relationship and Inah's evolving perspective on love and commitment.
