Content creator and actress Jelai Andres has announced that her marriage to her former partner Jon Gutierrez, also known as King Badger, has officially been annulled.

Jelai shared the personal milestone in her latest vlog uploaded to her YouTube channel, where she revealed the news to her loved ones and fellow celebrities, including her best friend Buboy Villar, her DoLaiNab co-members Donnalyn Bartolome and Zeinab Harake, among others.
At the beginning of the 39-minute video, many of those around Jelai initially thought she was about to announce a pregnancy after she suddenly handed them a set of documents. However, they were surprised to discover that the papers were actually the official documents related to the annulment of her marriage to Jon.
One of the most emotional moments in the vlog took place inside a restaurant, where Jelai's sibling personally revealed to her that the annulment had already been finalized. Overcome with emotion, Jelai became teary-eyed upon hearing the news.

The emotional atmosphere was briefly lightened when one of her nieces jokingly told her, "You can have four boyfriends now."
Later in the vlog, Jelai reflected on what the legal milestone meant to her after years of going through the process. She expressed gratitude that one of the most difficult chapters of her life had finally come to an end.
"Masaya po ako kasi finally, officially nawala na sa mundo ko 'yung kasal. Pinakamahirap na pinagdaanan na chapter ng buhay ko. Sobrang dami ko pong natutunan."
She also revealed that obtaining the annulment had been one of the intentions she consistently included in her daily prayers.
"Yung annulment ko, kasama siya sa prayers ko every day," dagdag pa niya.
Jelai and Jon, who became widely known as the popular "JoLai" tandem, began their relationship in 2015. The couple tied the knot on October 6, 2018.
The pair first separated in 2019 but reconciled the following year. However, their reunion was short-lived, as they parted ways again in 2021 following allegations that Jon had repeated acts of infidelity.
With the annulment now finalized, Jelai said she is grateful to officially close a painful chapter in her life and move forward.

Jelai also assured her close friend that she would continue to stand by her side and support her through every challenge, just as she always had.
Earlier, Jelai shared a humorous video on social media documenting what appeared to be her attempt to become a Marine reservist. The clip showed several participants lined up beside a pool before being instructed to jump into the water while holding what appeared to be rucksacks above their heads. Amusing her followers, Jelai later hinted in the comments that she did not pass the challenge, joking that she "disappeared" for only three seconds.
