During the conversation, Eric candidly spoke about the personal experiences that he believes contributed to developing his fear of aging. He recalled observing the adults around him while he was growing up, particularly his father, whose demeanor after work left a lasting impression on him.
According to Eric, he often saw his father come home from work looking exhausted, stressed, and in a bad mood. Witnessing that routine at a young age made him associate adulthood with constant pressure and unhappiness, eventually leading him to wish he would never have to experience the same kind of life.
“I think it was because na, 'yung tatay ko, ‘pag umuwi lagi from office, laging siyang mainit ulo, laging stressed. Sabi ko, ‘Ayoko na tumanda.’ Sabi ko, never ako magtatrabaho ng normal na job. Kasi kung ganoon pala ako pag-uwi ko, huwag na lang,” Eric shared.

He went on to explain that it was not only his father's experience that influenced his perspective. Eric said that as a child, he also noticed how many older people around him seemed to be constantly tired and burdened by responsibilities, reinforcing his fear of getting older.
Reflecting on those observations, Eric said they became a source of trauma for him and shaped the way he viewed aging.
“Kasi nakikita natin lahat, ‘di ba? 'Yung mga matatanda sa atin, laging stressed, laging pagod. Sabi ko, ‘Ayoko ng ganiyang buhay.’ Kaya siguro ‘yun 'yung naging trauma ko, ayoko tumanda,” he explained.
Eric's revelation offered viewers a glimpse into how his childhood observations affected his outlook on aging and why he developed a fear of growing old that has stayed with him over the years.
