In addition to advocating for maternal vaccination, Yasmien revealed her plans to get a flu vaccine postpartum to safeguard herself and her baby from influenza. Citing her vulnerability to flu infections every year, she emphasized the importance of taking proactive measures to prevent the transmission of illnesses to her newborn.

“Received my #TDap vaccine yesterday at #35weeks. Pregnant women should receive a dose of TDAP during each pregnancy, preferably between 27 and 36 weeks of gestation. This helps protect the newborn baby from #pertussis. Thank you Dra. @judyann_ob. Plus wag po natin kaligtaan na ipabakuna ang mga babies natin ng mga vaccines na kailangan after sila mapanganak para ma protektahan natin sila sa mga sakit… Sobrang importante to! After giving birth planning also to get flu vaccine kasi grabe ako tamaan ng flu every year at ayokong mahawaan ko siya,” Yasmien said.
