Mario Dumaual, a well-respected veteran showbiz reporter at ABS-CBN, has reportedly passed away at the age of 64, according to a few celebrities.
Dumaual had been hospitalized since June due to a cardiac arrest. While at the hospital, the reporter also suffered from a fungal infection. He was also undergoing dialysis and medications to manage his heart rate and blood pressure.
Just hours ago, Kapamilya star Luis Manzano was asking for financial help for Dumaual’s medical and hospital bills.

Social media influencer and businessman Wilbert Tolentino has expressed his condolences for Dumaual’s family.
“I am very saddened with the passing of one of the pillars in entertainment journalism in the country, Tito Mario Dumaual. Thank you for the coverage of every pageant stories related to me and to my queens and kings, many times. From my pageant journey to Mr. Gay World Philippines and my Herlene’s journey to Bb. Singer Jed Madela and ‘It’s Showtime’ host Jugs Jugueta also tweeted about Dumaual’s death.
Mario Dumaual was a popular and veteran reporter at ABS-CBN. He is known for reporting on entertainment news and controversies. Mario has interviewed countless famous celebrities throughout his long career.
Earlier, Priscilla Meirelles was interviewed by Mario Dumaual about her husband John Estrada. She and John went through a rough patch together but she denied that it was something major. The celebrity mom said that her minor issue with John could be compared to having a house with a broken light. Priscilla added that she and her husband are talking and that they respect each other’s space.
KAMI also reported that Ruffa Gutierrez, in an interview with Mario Dumaual, during the mediacon of 'Martyr or Murderer', addressed the issue of bashing.
