Dawn Chang throws shade at ‘GirlTrends’ over controversial dance number on Showtime

Dawn Chang immediately caught the attention of many television viewers because of her statement when she served as a judge in the newest segment of “It’s Showtime.”
KAMI learned that the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate took a swipe at the girl group called “GirlTrends” over their viral and “epic fail” performance on the show before.
The popular showbiz personality was asked to comment on the dance number of an amateur group during the “Sampu-Sample” segment.
In her much-talked-about comment, Dawn mentioned that every dancer should study several techniques and not just use charm to entertain the audience.
She also tried to perform some of the steps from the viral dance number of “GirlTrends,” and she stated that she did not understand why the group was not able to do it well.
“Ang pagsasayaw [ay] hindi lang puro hataw. Kailangan may technique. Hindi tayo pwedeng puro awra!” she quipped.
“Hindi ako sure. Naguluhan din ako sa kanila noong pinanood ko!” she added.

Meanwhile, during the online segment of the said noontime variety show, Dawn once again aired her frank words about the trending number of her former group.
She emphasized that a thorough rehearsal is a must especially when a group is called to perform on national television.
“Dapat kasi nagri-rehearse, yung eye for detail, dapat ganoon...” she said.
“Ayokong mag-trending. I don’t wanna trend for the wrong reasons,” she added.
