Veteran actress Gina Pareño has decided to speak up after hearing the rumors that Eddie Garcia’s life support might be taken off anytime soon.
KAMI learned that the multi-awarded actor is currently in a critical status after he stumbled and collapsed during the taping of a Kapuso series.
Eddie’s life is presently supported by a machine in Makati Medical Center, following the controversial on-set accident that fractured his cervical spine.
His family has dismissed the speculations on social media that they are planning to give up already by taking off the actor’s life support.
Even Gina, Eddie’s co-star in “Hintayan Ng Langit,” questioned why the support will be removed given that his heart is still okay.
"Sayang naman, bakit tatanggalin ang life support kung malakas pa ang puso niya? Baka puwede pa," she quipped in an interview with Cabinet Files.
"Nagpadasal kami, nagpamisa kami for Eddie dito sa Marcelo Village, sa simbahan namin. Nag-offer kami ng Mass para sa kanya,” she added.

The award-winning actress also gave her sincerest sympathies over what happened and she regrets the unfortunate incident that Eddie suffered.
She even emphasized that it broke her heart to know that his fellow artist does not have any illness but he got comatose because of an accident.
"Ganoon talaga siguro, pero sayang si Eddie,” she stressed.
"Yun ang masakit, wala siyang sakit, 'tapos ganoon ang nangyari," she added.
