Jhong Hilario instantly made rounds on social media because of his speech during the Guild of Educators, Mentors and Students (GEMS) Gabi Ng Parangal on March 21.
KAMI learned that the veteran celebrity won as the Best Male Performance In A Supporting Role for “Ang Probinsyano” during the aforementioned occasion.
In his acceptance speech, Jhong expressed his gratitude to the award-giving body for recognizing his acting skills in the long-running drama series.
He also mentioned the veteran actor Eddie Garcia as his inspiration especially when it comes to giving adlibs and throwing dialogues for antagonists.
Kaya maraming salamat po…” he quipped.
Amid his serious message, Jhong was able to insert some statements that broke the ice during the much-awaited Awards Night.
He mentioned the rival program of his noontime show, “It’s Showtime” and he recited a short poem regarding the latest recognition given to him.
