Filipinos have done it again! Yes, a young Filipina has just won the world's largest public speaking competition held in London.
A young 20-year-old Filipina studying in the University of the Philippines has just bested representatives from other countries.
Jazmin Tan Jabines was given five minutes to present her speech onstage.
She then shared the significant meeting that she had with a relative of hers.
The UP student bagged the highest prize at the English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Competition last Friday.
There were 51 other contestants coming from different countries.
The winning speech of Jazmin was "One Hour at a Time" where she shared stories about overseas Filipino workers.
Jazmin is the third Filipino who won the prestigious competition.
In 2008, Gian Karlo Dapul won the said competition while in 2004, it was Patricia Evangelista.
