Despite her limitations, Kris has not completely dismissed the possibility of working in government. Instead of running for office, she hopes to be considered for an appointment at the DOH, where she believes her personal experiences could help her understand the concerns of patients and the challenges surrounding healthcare services.
“But ako, if ever, sana ma appoint na kung sino man ang mahahalal na maging ano DOH [Appointee] kasi sa experience ko,” she expressed.
Among the changes she would like to pursue is making medicines more affordable for Filipinos. Kris pointed out that reducing the expenses associated with imported medicines could help bring down their prices, potentially making essential treatments more accessible to people who need them.
She also expressed confidence that the public would trust her intentions, emphasizing her commitment to handling public resources honestly.

“Alam nilang hindi ako magnanakaw and yung mapababa lang ang cost ng gamot, ang laking bagay na. Maybe by not taxing the importation of medicine so high, we can already make it so affordable,” she maintained.
Beyond her proposed healthcare measures, Kris also highlighted the importance of having trustworthy individuals in government positions. She believes appointments to public office should consider a person's integrity and ability to manage public funds responsibly.
The actress clarified that her remarks were not directed at any particular individual but reflected her expectations of those entrusted with serving the country.
“Feel ko kasi talaga na dapat ang mga naappoint yung alam ng taong may natabing pera na. Wala po akong sinasabi at pinariringgan ngayon but I would think we deserve honest public servants,” she ended.
For now, Kris acknowledged that her health remains a major consideration in any plans involving public service. Nevertheless, her statements showed that she remains interested in contributing to the country, particularly in addressing issues affecting the healthcare sector.
