"I have never felt the real urgency to leave the Philippines until now. I always entertained the thought, but it never escalated to an urgency. Ngayon talaga ayoko na. I am making plans kasi 'yung bastusan is so painful to me," she wrote.

Despite this, she expressed happiness for Filipinos who could pursue better opportunities abroad. She also hoped that more people would have the option to leave if they wanted to, emphasizing that no one deserved to live under a system that she believed was unfair.
The actress further revealed that some reactions to her posts had made her even more discouraged. According to Rica, the negative comments showed her that her disappointment was not directed solely at the government but also at the attitudes of certain people.
She pointed out that instead of focusing on the issues she was raising, some netizens chose to criticize her personally. Rica questioned why people would spend their energy attacking someone who was speaking about injustices rather than addressing the system itself.
"At the end of the day, these people who have spent their energy to hate on me instead of hating on the system and actually doing something about it, remind me that we are where we are because of who we are."
Her latest remarks followed her previous criticism of the Bureau of Internal Revenue's (BIR) requirement for content creators to display a BIR Registration Seal Badge on their online content.
Rica previously revealed that she had been paying taxes since she was 13 years old, questioning why she still needed to prove her compliance by displaying the badge publicly.
She also explained that the requirement felt particularly insulting amid allegations of corruption and the country's ongoing issues with public funds.
"To me, the feeling is extremely insulting. While we're in the thick of being robbed… and then this. Like, seriously?"
Through her recent posts, Rica continued to express her frustration with the country's situation, making it clear that her disappointment involves not only government policies but also the way some Filipinos respond to those who speak up about social issues.
