During her guesting on late night talk show Tonight With Boy Abunda, Morissette Amon revealed that at one point in her life, she feared she'll never sing again.
The singer, dubbed Asia's Phoenix, said it was because of the submandibular tumor she got when she was 11 years old.
"We didn't know if it was because of my singing or if it was hereditary," said Morissette.
She added: "During that time tumubo lang siya akala namin cyst pero as we had several check ups, they found it was a tumor."
Good thing it wasn't cancerous and they were able to get it removed safely.
"It wasn't malignant, we were advised to have it taken out. I had an operation kasi baka mag-worse, what could develop with it," said Morissette.
A video uploaded by a certain Jesamie Melgar on YouTube claimed it was the operation of Morissette when she was 11 years old.
The video showed a jar of what looked like lumps taken out from Morissette.
It also showed a young looking Morissette with a bandage on her neck.
Morissette entered the entertainment industry through TV5's Star Factor competition. She was only 14 years old.
But what brought her to her famed status was her stint in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013.
She was part of Sarah Geronimo's team.
The Cebu City native became a recording artist under Star Records in 2014 after the competition ended.
She was tagged Asia's Phoenix for her singing prowess.
She is one of the very few singers in the country who can do a whistle.
