Her name is Virgie Baliton. She's a live-in caregiver in Hongkong who flew to the United States with her employer, an 80-year old Chinese woman. The latter wanted to witness the graduation ceremony of her granddaughter from the University of California at Berkeley, according to the report.
However, on May 13 at around AM in Cafe Strada, Baliton and her employer's family were out to grab a meal in the above-mentioned restaurant when the latter excuse herself to find the nearest restroom in the area as the cafe's restroom was out of order.
After which, Baliton never came back. This incident has left her employer's family worried about her that they have reported about this event to the authorities.
The family dismisses rumors about Baliton could have gone rogue or ran away as they've known her for 14 years. Grace, the granddaughter of Baliton's employer said that she believed that the OFW caregiver is not that kind of person. She added that Baliton was nice to her and that she has known her since she was 5.
Grace finished her statement with this message to Baliton if she can hear about the interview, “We really want you to be safe. We really want you to come back. We love you. We need you."
