FACT CHECK: Air Asia clarifies netizen’s viral post on PH soldiers

Steve Dailisan, Head of Communications and Public Affairs of AirAsia Philippines, has released a fact check regarding an old photo and unverified content from 2017 regarding excess baggage faced by Filipino soldiers.

Dailisan has clarified that the issue has been resolved already years ago, with AirAsia granting a 40kg baggage allowance free of charge to frontline-deployed military personnel, as well as inflight meals as further support.

In response to recent online discussions sparked by an old photo and unverified content from 2017 concerning excess baggage faced by Filipino soldiers, AirAsia Philippines strongly reassures that the matter has been resolved. During that period, frontline-deployed military personnel were granted a 40kg baggage allowance free of charge and received complimentary inflight meals as further support.
