He is married to actress-host Dianne Medina, born Maria Patricia Dianne Perez Medina. They have a son named Rodolfo Joaquin Diego III. His brother, Rayver Cruz, is also a popular actor, singer, and dancer in the Philippines who works for the Kapuso network.
