Liza Soberano is a model and actress. She rose to fame as part of a love team with actor Enrique Gil. She was also known for her portrayal of Maria Agnes Calay in the teleserye Forevermore.

Liza previously addressed critics of her manner of speaking Tagalog for the anime series "Trese." The actress said that she worked on her Tagalog for two weeks straight and avoided speaking English with her family at home at that time. She even went further, practicing the same thing on her phone to get used to speaking Tagalog.

Those rumors that Liza and Enrique Gil were engaged led the actress's manager, Ogie Diaz, to freak out last month. Ogie said that he instantly called Liza about the accusations during his usual showbiz update with Mama Loi. The Kapamilya actress explained that the rings were being worn on their right hand, according to Ogie. The talent manager also stated that the rings in question were merely accessories given by Liza's stylist.
