Among the items reported stolen were his wallet, watch, and necklace. The combined value of the cash and jewelry taken from him exceeded P200,000, according to the report.

Investigators were also examining the suspects’ movements before the robbery. CCTV footage taken seconds before the confrontation showed a motorcycle rider who appeared to be acting as a lookout and looking toward the victim.

The riders were then seen making U-turns and returning toward the barangay official. The footage documented their approach before the suspects took his belongings.

About a minute later, the suspects were seen heading toward Ayala Boulevard as they escaped.

The news team tried to speak with the kagawad, but he declined to appear on camera at the time.
