Sharon said she wasn’t aware of Ate Shawee’s passing until recently because she hardly checks all her social media accounts when she was still in the US.

“I had deliberately, totally ignored my Philippine phones in the U.S. and enjoyed the radio silence using only my U.S. phone. I hardly checked all my social media platforms and went on them to post then rarely, read and reply to some of your comments,” Sharon explained.

Ate Shawee, whose real name is Marvin Martinez, passed away around 1 p.m. on July 26 at the Chinese General Hospital due to to liver cirrhosis complications.

The real Shawie called Ate Shawee her “Official and favorite impersonator.”

“So it was a SHOCK to me to find out that my Official and favorite impersonator, Marvin, our Ate Shawee, had been sick and passed away…I sincerely, deeply am affected by his passing,” the Megastar wrote in her post.

She also admitted that she adored Marvin and expressed her appreciation for all his work, particularly during the lean years of Sharon’s career when she “was too fat to work.”

Sharon revealed she was even worried for Marvin during that time because he might not get any jobs impersonating her during those times.

“I appreciated and adored Marvin and in those lean years of my career when I was too fat to work, seriously even worried about what Marvin would be able to do impersonating me and getting any jobs at all,” the real Shawie said.

The Megastar then expressed her “deepest condolences” to Marvin’s family, loved ones, and friends.

She also offered a tribute to her official impersonator and thanked him for his respectable impersonation of her.

“I love you and always will, my Ate Shawee, my Marvin. Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal, marespetong pagganap sa akin at pagpapaligaya sa aming lahat. Mamimiss kita talaga…may God bless and embrace your loved ones through this most difficult time,” Sharon said.

Sharon is finally back home after flying to and staying in the US for more than two months. The Megastar is now observing a 10-day quarantine and have just she learned about the demise of her impersonator, Ate Shawee. She also turned emotional as she revealed that she could not even see her babies and Kiko waving at her. She also said that she is just going through so much and was asking her followers to pray for her.

When Mega arrived at the NAIA, she went straight to quarantine where she received cute "welcome home" surprises from her kids and her husband. Sen. Kiko Pangilinan made lambing to Megastar as he sent her flowers with a cute dedication written on the card. He told Sharon to let him know what take out food she wanted and went as far as enumerating the foods Shawie likes. “Please let me know what take out food you want...” wrote the senator.
