One week before Father’s Day celebration, netizens looking for something to inspire them found one in the post of Facebook user named Allen Curth Espeleta, whose post about his father has gone viral.
The post consists of five photos that show his father working very hard and eating on the floor during breaks.
According to the young Espeleta, he just wanted to show off how hardworking his father is and how good it feels to be of help to the older Espeleta.
“Wala lang guys gusto ko lang sabihin na ansarap pala sa feelings na pag yung tatay mo kasama mo sa isang trabaho kahit taga abot taga walis taga buhat lang ako,” the teenage Espeleta said.
He also expressed his gladness at being with his father in one place, talking to him while eating and working.
“Alam nyo yung pakiramdam na kayong dalawa lang nang erpat mo nasa isang lugar sabay kayo kakain kwentuhan habang nag tatrabaho,” Espeleta further said in his post.
He also said that the best part of it all is when they go home and its raining, his father would put his arms on his son’s shoulders.
“Higit sa lahat yung kaninang pauwe kame naka akbay saken si papa habang umuulan,” the teenager wrote.

In an interview with Latestchika.com, Allen Curth said he’s helping his father without being told to do so.
“Bukal po sa akin yun Ma’am,” the young Espeleta said.
He said he did not expect his post to go viral as he just wanted to show his appreciation for the hard work of his father and at the same time, to show everyone how proud he is.
“Bilang pasasalamat and proud lang po ako sa papa ko kasi hardworking po siya ma’am eh and karapat dapat pong ipagmalake ang bawat magulang. Sobrang saya po kasi sobrang daming naka-appreciate. Sobrang proud po kasi ako sa tatay ko. Di lang naman po sa tatay ko, pati po sa nanay ko,” the teenager said.

Posts that reflect reality, like the one Allen Curth Espeleta posted, often go viral. In most cases, such social media posts show positive things, which is in itself is a reflection of the yearning of people for hope in this world. Although there are negative posts that go viral, interest in them are, in most cases, short-lived. Hopeful and positive posts, on the other hand, appear to take a life of their own after reaching viral status, as they are shared several times over by thousands of people.
