The pitiful condition of a teacher in Cebu named Nadia Reyes and the admirable act of her student, Marlon Cortes, touched the heart of Raffy Tulfo that he immediately acted on their plea for help.
Aside from sending them 100K as initial assistance, Idol Raffy sent his most trusted staff, Sharee Roman, to personally check on Teacher Reyes and see what other help they can give her.

It can be recalled that in early March, Cortes sent an urgent plea for help, not for himself, but for his former teacher who was stricken with stage 4 cancer and whose condition was rapidly deteriorating.
When Raffy talked to Teacher Reyes on air, all she asked for was help in processing her GSIS (Government Service Insurance System) so she could get financial assistance.

The popular host told her not to worry as he will personally see to it that his team will take care of her papers and also told her that he will give her 100K as initial assistance, as well as send Sharee to her place in Cebu to check on her.
“Maraming salamat” and “hihintayin ko kayo,” was all Teacher Reyes could say. At that point, both Raffy and Sharee were already dabbing their eyes at the station.

When Sharee arrived in Cebu, she saw for herself the truly pitiful condition of Teacher Nadia, who had already difficulty talking.
The teacher’s situation perhaps hit home in Sharee’s heart that her tears started flowing out. Idol Raffy’s trusted assistant was also shocked at how Teacher Nadia slept.

Because she cannot stand the pain in her arms and back if she lies down, she sleeps in a sitting position with a pail in front of her to cradle her head.
Apart from Cortes, Sharee was also able to talk to Teacher Nadia’s other former students, her co-workers, and the teacher’s children.
All of them expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the help that Raffy Tulfo sent Teacher Nadia.

At the time, the issue that they were discussing was the lost seaman whom the brother suspected, the wife of the seaman was involved in the story. As he was speaking to Idol Raffy, the latter could not help but request him to move the curtains because not only he but also the netizens, noticed the man-shaped shadow behind the complainant.
