Will Ashley opened up about the challenge of portraying the title character in GMA Network's afternoon series Delivery Boi, revealing that finding Boi's personality required him to adjust to a style of acting different from what he was accustomed to.

The Sparkle artist discussed his experience in a Kapuso Insider video shared by GMA Network. In the series, Will plays Boi, a character whose cheerful disposition presents a different acting experience for the actor-singer.
“Hanapin ang personality ni Boi sa mga unang parts kasi kakaiba nga siya e. Nasanay ako sa drama na puro sad face ganyan tapos sobrang bihira lang maging masaya. Pero kasi dito sa Delivery Boi, kailangan lagi kang naka-smile kasi 'yun si Boi.”
Despite the challenge, Will also identified similarities between himself and the character, particularly when it comes to their love for their families and their willingness to give other people opportunities.

“Siguro with family, mapagmahal si Boi with family. Ako kasi parang ganon, din e. Kumbaga kung may nagawa sa akin yung isang tao, hindi ako nagtatanim agad ng sama ng loob. Kumbaga, binibigyan ko muna ng chance 'yung mga tao,” he explained.
His comments highlighted how certain personal values helped him connect with Boi, even as he worked to capture the character's distinct personality on screen.
Meanwhile, Will is also working alongside fellow former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Mika Salamanca and Vince Maristela in the series. The actor said their previous working experiences together helped establish familiarity and made their scenes more comfortable to perform.
“Naka-work ko na kasi sila ilang beses sa isang series. Pero this time, mas marami kaming scenes together. Nakakatuwa kasi alam na namin, kumbaga 'yung ugali ng isa't isa. Kaya nagiging madali na siya kasi gets na namin kapag nagkakaroon kami ng eksena,” Will said.
According to Will, having already worked with Mika and Vince on previous projects allowed them to understand one another's personalities and reactions. Their increased number of shared scenes in Delivery Boi has given them more opportunities to work together.
With the series currently airing on GMA Network, Will continues to explore the demands of playing Boi while drawing on his personal experiences and established friendships with his co-stars.
