Sheree Bautista recalled an upsetting encounter with a drunk male fan who spat water on her face while she was preparing to sing for him onstage.

The singer shared the experience during a guest appearance on the online talk show Your Honor, where she joined fellow Viva Hot Babes member Jennifer Lee. What was supposed to be an interaction with an audience member took an unpleasant turn after she asked that he be given water.

Seeing his condition, Sheree decided to have someone give him water before proceeding with her song. She explained that he was unsteady and appeared to have little awareness of what he was doing.

“So nu'ng umakyat 'yung guy, lasing na siya. So sabi ko, bigyan natin ng tubig bago ko siya kantahan. Kasi, medyo barag-barag na siya, ganiyan [natutumba-tumba] na siya. Wala na siya sa sarili niya.”

However, the gesture did not lead to the interaction she had expected. Instead of simply drinking the water, the man spat it onto her face.

The performer admitted that she became furious and could barely hold back her reaction. People around her intervened and stopped her from acting on her anger.

Despite the incident, she managed to regain her composure and continue performing. Her account described how she carried on with the show even after being treated that way by someone she had tried to help.
