Andrea acknowledged that she had been pushing back against the public's perception of her for years. However, she explained that she eventually realized there was little point in continuing to fight against a label that people had already associated with her.

“I've been fighting that for time immemorial, but you know, sabi ko, there's no point in fighting it, e. If they want to say that, okay, so be it. Are you happy? If you think I'm a sexy symbol, okay,” the actress and Viva Hot Babes member said.

Her remarks reflected a shift in how she handles other people's opinions about her image. Rather than allowing the label to become a constant source of frustration, Andrea said she has learned to let people hold their own perceptions.

She also pointed out that being associated with Viva Hot Babes makes it difficult for members to separate themselves from the image connected to the group. According to Andrea, the public's perception is partly shaped by the group's established branding.

“You're identified to the group, so you cannot disassociate yung ganung pananaw ng tao sa amin,” she continued.

Andrea further explained that accepting the label can lessen its influence over a person. Instead of continuing to resist what others say, she believes embracing the perception can eventually take away some of its power.

“The more you embrace it, the more it loses its power, kumbaga. I don't want to fight it,” she said.

Andrea is among the members of Viva Hot Babes, the popular girl group that also includes Maui Taylor, Katya Santos, Gwen Garci, Sheree, Jaycee Parker, Ella V., and Jennifer Lee, among others. The group became known for its catchy songs, including “Bulaklak,” “Basketbol,” and “Kikay.”

The upcoming reunion concert will take place on October 23 at the New Frontier Theater. The event will bring the group back into the spotlight, giving fans an opportunity to revisit the music that helped establish its place in Philippine entertainment.
