Aiko Melendez recounted during a virtual presscon of "Future," which is a new episode of "I can See You."
The 45-year-old actress confessed that at one point, she became addicted to looking good, to the point of being vain, that she tried an injection on her face.
It turned out, that it worked the other way around. Instead of making her look good, she looked horrid.

As a result, no film outfit would give her any project. She experienced projects being suspended simply because her face was destroyed.
The actress then prayed and after six months of treatment, her face was restored.

The reconciliation happened on the set of the drama anthology series “Tadhana.” Maricar said she immediately felt everything was healed from that point - Aiko believed their reconciliation was providential, “I think it's God's way of patching things up.”
