Itinanggi ng panig ng City Garden Grand Hotel na lumabag ito sa COVID-19 quarantine protocols kaugnay ng kaso ng pagkamatay ni Christine Dacera.
Sa isang statement batay sa report ng ABS-CBN News, sinabi ng hotel na nag-book ang grupo sa ilalim ng mga 'corporate accounts'.
"There was no clear indication that these guests knew each other, or made the reservations with the intention of holding a party within the hotel premises," batay sa pahayag nito.

Sinabi rin dito na nag-book ang grupo ng tatlong kwarto, ang 2207, 2209 at 2009.
"The corporate accounts pertained to businesses that were within the immediate local vicinity of the Hotel or businesses otherwise permitted to book accommodation," ayon sa report.
Itinanggi rin ng nasabing hotel na tumatanggap sila ng mga guests para sa "leisure purposes' ani Department of Tourism National Capital Region director Woodrow Maquiling, Jr. base sa report ng CNN Philippines.
"They were trying to justify the accommodation of those guests involved there. In effect, sinabi nila na they did not accept guests for leisure purposes."
Ganunpaman, ani Maquiling, magsasagawa pa rin ang DOT ng imbestigasyon kaugnay nito.
Una nang naiulat na pinagsusumite ng paliwanag ng DOT ang hotel matapos matagpuan ang 23-anyos na flight attendant sa loob ng banyo ng inupahang kwarto rito matapos ang isang New Year's party kasama ang mga kaibigan nito.
Ayon sa DOT Administrative Order No. 2020-002-C, ang mga accommodation establishment sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng General Community Quarantine at ginagamit bilang quarantine facilities ay pinagbabawalang tumanggap ng mga guests para sa leisure purposes base sa ulat ng Esquire.

Si Christine Dacera ang 23-anyos na flight attendant na natagpuang walang malay sa bathtub sa loob ng inupahang hotel sa Makati noong Enero 1.
Ayon sa PNP, hindi nila inaalis ang anggulo na mayroong sangkot na ilegal na droga sa kaso ni Christine.
Samantala, pinuna naman ng forensic pathologist na si Dr. Raquel Fortun ang report ng NBI na mayroon silang nakuhang 100 ml na urine sample sa labi ni Christine Dacera.
