Maricel Tulfo-Tungol finally had the chance to explain what happened when she gave birth to Baby Grayson Maxwell.

The daughter of Raffy Tulfo, Maricel gave birth to her first baby with Atty. Garreth Tungol on November 28. Although she was able to post updates through her labor vlog, she was not able to give many details due to the situation.
According to her latest vlog on her YouTube channel, they went to the hospital on the morning of November 26. She had to be induced since it was already the 38th week of her pregnancy, the safest for her to give birth.
She also recounted how she had to stay in the OB delivery room alone since they had to wait for the swab test result of Atty. Garreth yet. They had to opt for the rush result because they were expecting the baby to come out anytime soon.
Mar was given a medication that would help her cervix open and have active labor. However, within 24 hours, she explained that doctors and nurses could not monitor regular contractions.

On the second day, November 27, she was given a second medication, oxytocin. Like the first drug, it was meant to induce active labor so she could give birth through normal delivery. She would be monitored for another 24 hours.
Upon her doctor’s internal examination by that time, her cervix was already able to open up to three centimeters. A normal delivery would require ten centimeters.
“So, sabi ko, ‘okay, baka may hope pa na mag-normal [delivery] ako kasi gusto ko talaga mag-normal [delivery]
“.. pero sinabihan na niya [OB] ako na ‘baka mag-CS ka na kung hindi pa rin gumana tong gamot na to.’”
As there was minimal progress to her situation throughout the second day, Mar revealed that she later decided to opt for a C-section delivery.
Thus, on November 28, Mar gave birth to their baby via a C-section. She recalled her experience during the operation, which was her first major surgery. She revealed that she was awake throughout the process and had to talk to Atty. Garreth, who was in the room, since she was nervous.
After everything she went through, Mar shared that it was all worth it now that they have baby Grayson with them.
