Avengers star Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable” condition after accident

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Avengers series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sustained severe injuries while plowing snow at Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada last January 1.

According to Deadline, Jeremy sustained blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries that required surgery. After the operation, the actor — who is in critical but stable condition — was placed in the ICU as he recovers.

Jeremy Renner is a Hollywood actor best known for his role as Hawkeye / Clint Barton in Marvel Studios’ Avengers series. He also received acclaim in his dramatic roles in films such as Wind River, The Town, where he received an Academy Award nomination as best supporting actor, and Hurtlocker, where he received an Oscar nod for best actor.

He got married to Canadian model Sonni Pacheco on January 13, 2014 but they got divorced in December of the same year. They share custody of their daughter.
