A prisoner in Brazil managed to escape from his detention cell after squeezing his body through a narrow opening in the bars.

The unusual escape was featured in a report by Unang Balita, which showed the detainee carefully trying to fit himself through the small gap.
He first pushed his arms through the opening before slowly forcing the rest of his upper body out.
The prisoner then twisted and adjusted his body until he was able to move his legs through the bars as well.

At one point, he was seen upside down while trying to free the lower part of his body from the cell.
Despite the narrow opening, the detainee eventually managed to get out.
According to the Unang Balita report, his freedom did not last long because police later caught him again.
He was then placed in a more secure detention cell following the escape.
The prisoner had reportedly been arrested earlier over a domestic violence complaint.
The report did not provide further details about the incident that led to his arrest.
Authorities also said the detention cell would be repaired or modified after the escape.
The move was meant to improve security and prevent a similar incident from happening again.

Recently, a mother and her 13-year-old son were injured after they were allegedly attacked with a bolo while sleeping inside their home in Barangay Paril, Cebu City. According to a report on GMA's Unang Balita, the incident happened after the 22-year-old suspect reportedly caused trouble during a dance in the barangay. Police said the suspect became involved in a disturbance at the gathering. The father of the young victim and husband of the woman reportedly approached him and asked what was happening.
