A 2-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a closed van along Sanana Road in Barangay 180, Caloocan.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon and was reported by Gabriel Gonzalez on GMA's Unang Balita.
Based on the report, the closed van was traveling toward Amparo when the child suddenly crossed the road.
The boy was struck by the vehicle. A man immediately pulled him toward the sidewalk before he was rushed to the hospital.

The toddler reportedly suffered bruises on his arm and a wound on his chest.
Authorities later confirmed that the child survived and remained in the hospital following the incident.
"Yung bata po ay nabuhay po. Kasalukuyan po nandon pa rin siya sa ospital ngayon," an official said in the report.
The boy's grandmother also admitted that they were unable to closely watch him that afternoon.
According to her, the child's parents had left him with the family because they went for a medical checkup. His mother is pregnant.
The grandmother explained that she was also tired after doing the laundry and did not immediately notice what happened.
Despite the frightening incident, the family expressed relief that the toddler survived.
"Siguro naano ng angel, sinagip ng angel yun," the grandmother said.
She also shared that the boy was already able to speak to her while recovering.
Meanwhile, the North Caloocan Traffic Sector said the driver of the closed van was later released after the two sides reached an agreement.
The driver's company reportedly promised to shoulder all expenses related to the child's medical treatment.
Authorities also reminded motorists to remain careful while driving, especially in areas where children may suddenly enter the road.
Parents and guardians were likewise reminded to closely supervise young children and prevent them from playing near streets.
