Singer Kim Yun-seol, who gained recognition after appearing on JTBC’s music competition program “Sing Again 4,” has passed away at the age of 27, according to multiple reports. She died on June 7, though the cause of death was not disclosed, according to a report by Chosunbiz.

The news of her passing was echoed by SBS Star, which reported that the first public indication of the tragedy came through an acquaintance.
According to the report, the acquaintance shared funeral information on social media along with a message expressing grief and explaining why the news was being shared publicly online.
In the post, the acquaintance described the difficulty of reaching people close to the singer and asked the public to help ensure she would not be alone on her final journey. The message read:

Kim Yun-seol first entered the public eye in 2013 after winning Mnet’s children’s audition program “Voice Kids,” where she was recognized for her vocal talent at a young age. Her early success paved the way for further opportunities in the Korean entertainment industry.
She later expanded her career with her official debut through the digital single “Man and Woman 2013,” released in collaboration with Yang Yo-seob. Over the years, Kim continued to build her presence in the music scene by participating in various television music competitions and programs, including “I Can See Your Voice 7,” “The Voice Korea 2020,” and more recently “Sing Again 4.”
