A report on GMA revealed that the counsel of the league, Atty. Ogie Narvasa, along with commissioner Willie Marcial, made the announcement on Friday.

"In coordination with the management of NorthPort, the Commissioner has decided that John Amores will be suspended for all his games in the next conference of the PBA's 49th season, without pay, for conduct detrimental to the league," a snippet from the decision read by Narvasa.

"Furthermore, in order for Amores to be allowed to play again in the PBA, he must, without delay, submit to counseling to address his anger and violent tendencies. Clearance to play must be obtained from his counselors. Choice of the counseling program of Amores should be with the approval of the PBA and the program must continue until cleared and terminated by the counselors," he added.

Both men agreed to settle it through a fistfight; CCTV footage showed that upon arriving at the location, Amores allegedly shot his opponent. Police authorities were then deployed into a hot pursuit of Amores.

Additionally, John Amores was in hot pursuit of the police after an alleged shooting incident but eventually voluntarily surrendered to authorities - The incident started when he got into a heated argument with another basketball player in Laguna - Instead of settling the argument into a fistfight, CCTV footage shows Amores allegedly shooting his opponent. He and his younger brother will soon be put into inquest proceedings.
