Kerwin Espinosa, the self-confessed druglord who testified against Sen. Leila De Lima, has submitted his counter-affidavit to the Department of Justice (DOJ), where he recanted his previous statements during the senate hearing.

In the counter-affidavit, as reported by Manila Bulletin, Kerwin categorically said that that "any and all of my statements given during the Senate hearings, or in the form of sworn written affidavits against Senator De Lima are not true."
Thereafter, Sen. Kiko took to Facebook and said that Sen. Leila De Lima must be released immediately in light of how Kerwin recanted his statement.
