Police said the victim, who worked as a vendor, sustained multiple stab wounds and severe injuries to his face, leaving his body barely recognizable. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing and the alleged participation of the four family members.
Bacoor Police Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Alexie Desamito described the extent of the victim's injuries in a report by GMA News' Dano Tingcungco on Unang Balita on Tuesday.
“May taga sa ulo. I'm not sure 'yung mata kung pasa talaga 'yun. Parang pinaghahampas muna eh,” Desamito said.

Investigators believe the crime may have occurred on Saturday after neighbors reportedly heard shouting and commotion coming from the house. However, the incident was not immediately reported because a witness was allegedly intimidated into keeping quiet.
“Nasabihan siya na ‘Wala kang nakita.’ Silang mag-iina po. So dahil medyo natakot po. Medyo nanahimik muna siya pansamantala,” the police chief explained.
Authorities are also looking into reports of recurring domestic disputes as a possible motive. According to Desamito, the victim had allegedly complained about being the family's sole financial provider while his wife frequently gambled, drank alcohol, and returned home intoxicated.
The investigation also uncovered a previous incident in which the victim allegedly stabbed his wife. She reportedly forgave him and did not file a complaint.
Police further suspect that the children may have helped conceal evidence after the killing. One daughter was allegedly instructed to wash clothing stained with blood, while the wife reportedly stayed at another house. Investigators also believe the family may have tried to make it appear that the victim was living alone.
One of the children allegedly identified the mother as the person who stabbed the victim, according to Desamito.
The wife and three children are currently detained at the Bacoor Police Station and face parricide complaints. They are undergoing inquest proceedings before the Bacoor prosecutor's office.
In another report, a man was injured after being beaten by a group of seven to 10 people at the plaza in Dueñas, Iloilo. A video of the incident showed several men surrounding the victim and repeatedly kicking him. According to initial police information, the man had gone to the area to confront someone who allegedly hurt his sibling.
Meanwhile, a man died after being shot outside a school in Barangay Prinza, Teresa, Rizal, on Thursday afternoon. According to a report by GMA News' Unang Balita, the victim was shot in the head at around 4 p.m. The gunman fled immediately after the shooting, prompting authorities to launch a manhunt. A video that circulated online showed the victim lying on the ground as his live-in partner remained beside him while carrying their infant child.
