A man was killed after he was shot several times while drinking outside his home in Barangay Rizal, Lipa, Batangas.

According to a report on Balitanghali, the incident happened on Wednesday night.
Footage from the area showed two people arriving on a motorcycle and stopping in front of the victim’s house.
At the time, he was reportedly having a drinking session near the residence. His daughter said she was inside when she suddenly heard four gunshots. She went outside to check and found her father lying on the ground.

According to her account, the armed man allegedly changed the magazine of his firearm after the initial shots before firing two more times at the victim. After the shooting, the assailants quickly left the area aboard their motorcycle and fled in an unknown direction.
Police later began looking into the circumstances surrounding the attack. The identities of the two suspects have not yet been established. Authorities are also working to determine the motive behind the killing.
No possible reason for the shooting was mentioned in the Balitanghali report. Investigators are gathering available information that may help them trace the people involved.
The footage recorded near the victim’s home may also help authorities establish the movements of the suspects before and after the incident.
The daughter’s statement provided investigators with an account of what she heard and saw that night. As of the report, police had not released additional details about the suspects or their whereabouts.
