In a highly publicized media interview, Rovelyn Baterbonia fiercely called out Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) for allegedly stripping her grieving family of their basic dignity in the chaotic aftermath of a devastating drowning incident.
According to report by Balita, Rovelyn poured her absolute heart out during the August 9 episode of the hit broadcast program "Toni Talks."
She alleged that instead of finding immediate comfort and systematic support from the prestigious educational institution following the fatal June 8 tragedy in Dipaculao, Aurora, she was met with what she described as unimaginable coldness.

Through heavy tears, the devastated mother shared the agonizing reality of how the school allegedly handled the transport of her child back to the city.
She strongly felt that because they were poor, they were treated with a glaring lack of empathy. Expressing her profound frustration, she stated, “Kasi ma’am, ‘pag may respeto ka sa kapuwa tao mo, ma’am, galing pa ‘yong anak ko sa Aurora, hindi man lang nila binihisan. Hindi nila nilinisan.”
Using a painful metaphor to describe the alleged careless transport of her son, she stated, “Tapos parang sinabi lang nila, ‘Uy, kunin mo ‘yong baboy do’n na nakatay ko. Dalhin mo rito sa Arlington [Memorial Chapel] kasi dito natin lalapain ‘yan.’”
