Awra Briguela gave an update on her mother’s condition after she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, sharing that her mother has already started chemotherapy and continues to undergo regular check-ups and laboratory tests as part of her treatment.

During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, August 7, host Boy Abunda asked Awra how her mother is doing amid her ongoing treatment.
Awra said she could not simply say that her mother is already doing okay, but shared that their family now knows the stage of her cancer.
“Siyempre, hindi ko naman po pwedeng sabihing okay na po siya ngayon. Pero alam na po namin kung ano 'yung stage nung cancer niya.”

She then shared that her mother has already begun chemotherapy, which started the previous week.
“And nakapag-start na rin po siya mag-chemo last week po.”
Awra also said that her mother continues to undergo regular check-ups and laboratory tests as part of her ongoing medical care.
“And ngayon po, tuloy-tuloy pa rin po 'yung check-up niya and 'yung mga lab tests niya.”
