Awra Briguela became emotional during her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on GMA as she candidly spoke about the emotional toll of the online criticism she continues to receive years after the controversial bar incident that placed her in the national spotlight.

During the interview, the actress and comedian admitted that rebuilding her life has not been easy despite her efforts to move forward, return to school, and focus on improving herself.
Awra shared that it took her an entire year before she could face people again after the incident.
She also revealed that even after resuming her studies and eventually graduating from Senior High School, the criticisms from some people never really stopped.

“Alam po ’to ng mga kapatid ko and even ni Mama. Kahit ano po kasing try ko talaga after nung nangyari, Tito Boy, isang taon bago ako uli humarap sa tao, bago ko i-continue ’yung pag-aaral ko… hanggang sa maka-graduate ako ng Senior High School, may nasasabi pa rin ‘yung mga tao sa’kin,” Awra said.
She went on to explain that the negative comments have continued even now that she is pursuing her college education.
According to Awra, there are days when she feels emotionally exhausted by the constant criticism.
“Up until now po na nag-aaral ako lalo na ngayong college, araw-araw po ayoko na po talaga.”
Despite those feelings, the young actress said she continues to push forward because of the unwavering support she receives from her loved ones.
She credited her siblings and parents for giving her the strength to continue despite the challenges.
“Pero ang iniisip ko po kasi, ’yung mga kapatid ko, ’yung parents ko, na ’yung hindi ako sinukuan, na ‘yung lumalaban para sa’kin.”
Awra explained that her family has become her greatest motivation whenever she feels like giving up.
“Sila po ’yung nagiging motivation ko pero kung ako lang po Tito Boy, ayoko na talaga kasi wala eh, kahit ano naman pong gawin ko parang wala lang po eh.”
The emotional interview also gave Awra an opportunity to address the public and reflect on her age when the incident occurred.
She reminded viewers that she was still a teenager at the time and has spent the succeeding years trying to grow and become a better version of herself.
“Gusto ko lang pong ma-realize ng mga tao at ipaalala sa kanila na I was just a kid, I was just a teenager, 19 years old lang po ako nung nangyari dati.”
Awra emphasized that she continues to work on herself every day and hopes people will also recognize her efforts to move forward.
“So lahat po ng pinagdaanan ko na ’yon, sobrang bata ko lang po at hanggang ngayon po Tito Boy, tina-try ko pong maging better every day.”
While Awra acknowledged that she cannot change what happened in the past, she made it clear that she remains committed to focusing on her education, personal growth, and the people who continue to believe in her.
