The actress and comedienne took to social media to explain why she became overwhelmed with emotion, clarifying that her tears were not caused by concerns about her own reputation.
Instead, Lovely said her heart broke for the people who had allegedly fallen victim to the scammers.
In the caption accompanying the emotional video, she wrote:

“Umiiyak ako dahil ang puso ko ay masakit dahil sa mga nascam, sa mga lola, nanay na pinaghirapan ang pera pero niloko pa sila.”
