A man allegedly selling illegal dr*gs through live selling on social media managed to escape a buy-bust operation conducted by police in Iloilo City.

Authorities said they had been monitoring the suspect after learning that he was allegedly using live-selling sessions to sell illegal dr*gs online. Based on their surveillance, police immediately planned and carried out an operation against him.
When officers raided the house, they recovered several packets of suspected illegal dr*gs and various drug paraphernalia. However, the suspect was no longer at the scene when they arrived.
According to the police, the suspect apparently sensed the operation before officers could arrest him. He reportedly fled the area and escaped by jumping into a nearby river.

The incident was reported on SONA, where authorities confirmed that despite the suspect's escape, the operation resulted in the seizure of evidence that will be used in the ongoing investigation.
The suspect's mother also reacted to the allegations against her son.
"Aminado ang ina ng suspect na bumabatak ang anak pero hindi raw ito nagbebenta."
Despite her statement, police said they are continuing to investigate the suspect's alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade. Authorities are also pursuing follow-up operations to locate and arrest him.
The confiscated suspected illegal dr*gs and drug paraphernalia have been turned over for proper examination and will form part of the case to be filed once the suspect is arrested.
