A man who was allegedly linked to several theft incidents in Bacolod City was killed after being shot by riding-in-tandem suspects.

The incident was reported in a news segment by GMA Integrated News' "State of the Nation Address" (SONA). Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting and whether it was connected to allegations that the victim had been involved in previous theft cases.

According to the report, the victim was attacked by two assailants riding a motorcycle. The gunmen immediately fled after the shooting, prompting police to launch a manhunt operation.

Investigators are looking into different angles, including the possibility that the killing may have been related to accusations linking the victim to several incidents of theft in the area. However, authorities have not yet confirmed any motive behind the attack.

The victim's sibling has strongly denied the allegations being circulated against him. According to the family member, the victim was not involved in stealing and should not be judged based on unverified claims.
