The incident happened just before 2 a.m., according to an initial report from the Mandaluyong City Traffic Bureau. Authorities said a sport utility vehicle operating as a Transportation Network Vehicle Service was identified as the likely cause of the crash.
The SUV reportedly hit the taxi in front of it. Due to the force of the impact, the taxi was pushed forward and collided with a white sedan ahead. The sequence resulted in a chain collision involving all three vehicles.
Damage to the SUV was severe. Its bumper was heavily wrecked and its windshield was shattered. The vehicle was reportedly on its way to the airport at the time of the incident. The taxi and the sedan also sustained visible damage, though less extensive compared to the SUV.

One passenger inside the SUV complained of dizziness following the crash. No other injuries were immediately reported among the passengers of the three vehicles. Authorities confirmed that the rest of the individuals involved were safe.
Responding personnel secured the area shortly after the incident. The vehicles involved were later brought to the Mandaluyong City Traffic Bureau for further inspection and documentation.
The investigation remains ongoing to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision. Officials are also reviewing whether factors such as speed, road conditions, or driver response contributed to the incident.
The report was originally published by ABS-CBN News, which cited details from local authorities and emergency responders.
Traffic flow in the area was temporarily affected but later cleared after the vehicles were removed. Authorities continue to remind motorists to exercise caution, especially during early morning hours when visibility and alertness may be lower.
