Pulisya, may person of interest na sa pagpatay sa 23-anyos na Slovakian sa Boracay

- Police in Malay, Aklan, have identified multiple persons of interest who had "contact" with 23-year-old Michaela Michova before her death

Police in Malay, Aklan, have identified persons of interest in the murder and alleged r@pe of a Slovakian tourist whose body was discovered in an abandoned chapel in Boracay.

In a report by GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas on Friday, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mar Joseph Ravelo, chief of the Malay Police, stated that the POIs had “contact” with the victim.

"We have two or more persons of interest lalo na ang mga tao na nagkaroon po siya ng contact...Tinitingnan natin ang foreign national at the same time ang mga local na pumupunta din sa area po doon," said Ravelo.

The victim, 23-year-old Michaela Michova, was reported missing on March 10. Her body was found two days later in an abandoned chapel without any underwear.

Authorities noted wounds on the victim’s body but are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death and whether she was r@ped.

A man discovered her remains after noticing a pungent odor in the chapel, which is reportedly far from homes and establishments.

Ravelo mentioned that, based on gathered information, the victim was friendly.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage that may assist in the investigation.

"Nandoon na rin po yung idea dahil nga po pumupunta siya sa mga lugar na walang tao, nandoon po ang angle na ang security niya ay malagay sa risk dahil nga po ang lugar ay hindi napapatrolyahan ng mga pulis considering na masukal at mabundok," the official added.

In a separate interview with Super Radyo dzBB, Ravelo said the victim’s friend mentioned he liked visiting old churches.

He had been to the area twice, and CCTV footage also captured him walking alone.

Despite the incident, police assured that Boracay, as well as the municipality and province, remain safe for visitors.

The stabbing incident was committed on March 02, 2025; the victim was identified as Alvin Dulos, 51 years old. As reported in TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the suspect, Jason Dalayon, was resting on a hammock when he saw the victim and called him. That's when the suspect stabbed the victim, multiple times; as reported, the victim sustained a total of 13 stab wounds.
