A 24-year-old woman lost her life, while her four-year-old daughter and husband sustained serious injuries in a tragic motorcycle accident in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

According to a report from GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak on Thursday, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon along the national highway in Barangay Santa Cruz Viejo.

Police investigations revealed that the motorcycle, driven by the woman's husband, suddenly lost control and overturned.

As a result, the woman was thrown onto the road, directly into the path of an oncoming bus.

Tragically, she was run over and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, their four-year-old daughter suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The young girl is reportedly to be in critical condition.

The father, who was also injured in the crash, is recovering from his wounds.

Authorities detained the bus driver involved in the incident.

He expressed deep remorse and apologized for what happened.

Motorcycle accidents remain a significant concern in the Philippines, often attributed to poor road conditions, speeding, and lack of protective gear.

Authorities would always remind motorists to exercise caution, wear helmets, and observe traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies.
